FREE PRIMARY EDUCATION
EDUCATION stake holders are now decrying the delayed release of more than 4 billion shillings for Free Primary Education. The Kenya National association of Parents KNAP says the delay is affecting operations in most schools. Association Secretary General Musau Ndunda has now given the government a 14 day ultimatum starting tomorrow to release the money failure to which the association will instruct the school Managing committees and parent teachers association to collect money from the parents to cater for the school’s activities.  He is accusing the government of killing the free Primary Education Program by failing to release its funding.  Most schools which re-opened for the second term two weeks ago are operating without necessities including books. The parents’ association now says the government should release the money for the schools to function effectively.
